Cigar Friendly Atlanta: Bailey’s Pub & Grille, Kennesaw

We’re lucky in Atlanta to have a great cigar scene.  No matter which side of town you’re on it’s very likely that there’s a  great B&M close by with a lounge area where you can relax with your friends and enjoy a smoke and a drink in comfort.

We’ve also got some great locations outside of the typical B&M’s that still allow you to enjoy a great cigar while grabbing a bite and a beverage.  A few of the C4 Cigar Club members recently met up for some dinner and drinks at Bailey’s Pub & Grille in Kennesaw and really enjoyed it.

When you walk through the doors at Bailey’s you are greeted, most times, by a beautiful young lady with a gorgeous smile.  Once you stop ogling the hostess you’ll notice the main dining room and bar area of Bailey’s is softly lit and accented with dark hardwood tables and a row of booths flanking both sides.  A small humidor glows invitingly to the left of the dining room, in case you forgot bring your own selection of stogies.  Choices include CAO, Fuente, Cohiba, Rocky Patel – pretty much the standard fare for a restaurant humidor.  Judging by the hygrometer in the case they are kept slightly on the moist side at around 72%.

To the right of the main dining room you will find a setting of more intimate tables, a small sitting area with leather couches and a couple pool tables.  The room to the left offers several pool tables, shuffleboard, darts and even Wii rentals.  All areas are scattered with TV’s showing a variety of sports.

Once you get situated you’ll quickly have a waitress at your table to take your drink orders.  You should know now that Bailey’s obviously makes every effort to have very gorgeous and scantily clad wait staff, fine by me.  On this particular visit they were celebrating Christmas in July and the waitresses had very short skirts on, some wore candy cane striped stockings and one even had a shiny red bikini and a Santa hat on – and not much else.  Ahem!  Sorry, what was I saying???  On most visits the waitresses are also very friendly, we happened to get one that was particularly stale on this vistit – but still fit the requirement of being very attractive.  She was attentive to our needs but not overly friendly.

The menu offers a variety of sandwiches, barbecue, steaks, wings, nachos, etc.  Mostly typical pub food but Bailey’s does kick it up a notch on most items.  One of their most popular items is the British fish and chips basket, but most everything I’ve tried there is quite good.  Expect to see the dinner crowd at Bailey’s from about 6:00 to 10:00 and the party crowd to take over after that.  With a college campus close by you’ll see a nice mix of college age partygoes and 30-somethings scattered around most nights.

Most importantly, you can enjoy your cigar FREELY anywhere in the restaurant.  They even have cigar ashtrays so you don’t have to try and balance your stogie on one of those tiny cigarette ashtrays.  The waitresses will keep your drinks full and the ashtrays empty and almost always with a smile.

This is a GREAT place. I went there for the first time a little while back with Tim and another cigar buddy and we had a blast. Great food, drinks, pool tables, and you are not restricted to a certain area with your cigar! This place is BIG, too! I highly recommend it.
