Revolution 262 Paradigm

Revolution 262 Paradigm
Revolution Cigars touts itself as a company making a marked change in the cigar world with the introduction of the 262 Paradigm made by Alec Bradley. The 262 name comes from the numerical representation of the month and year the Cuban trade embargo was signed, February 1962. They consider this date to be the beginning of a revolution in cigars. I would like to thank Revolution Cigars for sending me samples of this stick to review and also for sending additional samples after the first ones appeared to take some damage in transit.
Revolution 262 Paradigm

CONSTRUCTION
In total I smoked 4 cigars for this review, 2 robustos and 2 torpedoes. My intentions were to review only the last 2 I smoked, due to the perceived transit damage mentioned above on the first 2. However, all the cigars gave similar performance so I will review them together. On initial inspection 3 of the 4 cigars had cracked wrappers and did split and flare during smoking, none of the cigars totally ‘blew up’. The burn and draw on the cigars was good, and did not require touching up on any of the sticks.
FLAVORS
The flavor on the 262 Paradigm really kept me guessing, just when I thought I was really enjoying the cigar it got very bitter on me. The initial light citrus and woody flavors turned horribly bitter in the last third of all but one cigar and the one that didn’t turn had poor flavors from the beginning. I could not finish the final cigar as the harshness and bitterness was overpowering.
FINAL THOUGHTS
For me these cigars were consistently inconsistent. From the construction issues to the flavors they jumped all over the place. If they had kept the sweet spot taste the whole time I was smoking them then I would have loved them – but they didn’t. Couple that with the wrappers cracking and splitting and this is not a smoke I can recommend.

Sorry you didn’t enjoy these Tim, I had a much better experience w/ my samples.
It seems they sent samples to everyone, and the results are very mixed. The only glowing review is from a guy selling them as a rep. Others vary from your results to good, and everything in between. My results weren’t very good either.
My samples batted .500, one was good and one was “rode hard and put up wet”. Once I got past the unraveled part of the foot, my experience was good. Not a complex cigar but, I enjoyed them.
I totally agree with your final thoughts, ive had a few and the results have all been the same.
These are one of the few boxes of cigars that I returned. Way overpriced for a new company.
I just don’t get these new companies that toss out a premium priced mediocre cigar right from the start. Real amateur move.
Don’t see these many places due to the high price no reputation. Most vendors wont take the chance on them.
My toros were mild, bland and bitter. No redeeming qualities at all.
I wanted to like this, but there was just nothing to like. I took a chance on a box due to a blowing smoke podcast review. Never put faith in a review done by someone who get their cigars from a sponsor.
I wouldn’t recommend these even when they are blown out cheap.
